Third Sea represents the end-game content area with advanced challenges and progression systems. This guide covers the requirements, preparation steps, and strategies for successfully unlocking access to late-game zones.
Steps below match the Second Sea quest chain as documented through Update 30 (checked October 2026). The order of the eight buttons outside King Red Head's cell is not listed here because we could not confirm it in text form.
How the three-tier world structure works
Blox Fruits divides its world into three major regions called Seas, each representing a tier of progression with increasingly challenging content. Players advance from First Sea through Second Sea to reach Third Sea as they level up and complete requirements.
The starting region for new players, featuring introductory islands, basic enemies, and foundational game systems. Players learn core mechanics and progress through early levels here.
The mid-game region with more complex islands, stronger enemies, and intermediate systems. Unlocked at level 700 by defeating the Ice Admiral with the Military Detective's key. Introduces more challenging combat scenarios and progression mechanics.
The end-game region containing advanced content, maximum-level enemies, and late-game progression systems. Features the most challenging encounters and valuable rewards. Unlocked at level 1500 through the rip_indra quest chain.
For efficient progression through each Sea, see our complete leveling guide.
What you need before attempting the unlock
Reach level 1500. At that level a prompt points you to the NPC locked up under the Kingdom of Rose Colosseum (King Red Head).
Preparation tip: Focus on efficient grinding and quest completion in Second Sea. Use high-performance fruits and optimize your leveling route. See our grinding fruit guide for optimization strategies.
Complete Bartilo's Colosseum quest at the Café. Then talk to King Red Head. If Don Swan is still alive, you are sent after him first: offer Trevor in the Mansion a fruit worth more than $1,000,000 to open Don Swan's room, and defeat Don Swan (level 1000).
Press the eight buttons outside King Red Head's cell in the correct order. He teleports you to an island where you fight rip_indra; bringing him to 50% HP triggers a cutscene and you wake up back at the Café.
Talk to Mr. Captain in the Green Zone to sail to the Third Sea. From then on he handles travel between the Seas, so you can return to earlier Seas whenever you need to.
Getting ready for end-game challenges
Before entering Third Sea, ensure you have strong equipment appropriate for your level. Third Sea enemies are significantly more challenging than Second Sea content, so maximizing your combat effectiveness is crucial. Consider upgrading weapons, obtaining powerful accessories, and mastering your fighting style.

Third Sea NPCs often have advanced combat techniques that bypass basic Elemental intangibility. If you've relied heavily on passive defense, consider whether your current fruit remains effective in late-game content or if you should switch to a fruit with stronger active combat capabilities.

Third Sea content often requires currency for upgrades, purchases, and progression activities. Accumulate Beli reserves in Second Sea to avoid being resource-constrained when you first arrive. Complete high-value quests and consider farming valuable items to sell.

Third Sea enemies require more refined combat skills than earlier content. Practice combo execution, dodging patterns, and ability management in Second Sea before advancing. Understanding when to engage aggressively versus playing defensively becomes increasingly important in late-game encounters.
What awaits in end-game areas
